Medical Transcriptionist Program | Medical Transcriptionist Courses
Medical Transcriptionists profit from rapid growth in health care. The health care field isn't just growing - it continues to EXPLODE! And there is no slowdown in sight. As the number of patients' insurance claims, and hospital admissions continue to grow, so does the need for qualified Medical Transcriptionists. Doctors, hospitals, and clinics all need complete and accurate records of their patient care. To be a Medical Transcriptionist, you must have a basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. You will also have to be familiar with medical definitions and terms. And you'll need to know how to set up medical histories and other reports. The Paralegal Institute gives you all this training in the privacy of your home ... for less than you would pay for an on-campus tuition. And remember - as a qualified Medical Transcriptionist, you can even start your own business.

By devoting as little as 10 to 15 hours per week, you can complete the Medical Transcriptionist program in as little as 9 months. You complete each module and you take an exam covering the material you studied. As soon as you send in one exam, you can start the next module, so there's nothing to slow you down.
As a Medical Transcriptionist your job is to type out the confidential medical reports that the doctor dictates on patients. This permanent record is essential for all the health care professions involved in the care of the patient.
Doctors' offices, medical clinics, and hospitals all hire medical transcriptionists. Our Medical Transriptionist program prepares you to work just about anywhere. Once you get your medical training, you may find you enjoy working in a certain medical specialty, such as radiology (x-rays), cardiology (the heart), or oncology (cancer). You can also start your own business out of your home. As a self-employed medical transcriptionist, you can set your own hours, make your own decisions, and enjoy the satisfaction of owning your own business. Many small clinics or offices can't afford a full-time medical transcriptionist. So they pay self-employed transcriptionists to transcribe their reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. You can work for these facilities right out of your living room. Once you get enough doctors, hospitals, and clinics, you'll have your own moneymaking business - where you set your own hours and make your own decisions. NO PREVIOUS MEDICAL EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
As a Medical Transcriptionist, you must know complex medical terminology. You will also edit / proof the doctors' taped medical documents for grammar, punctuation, and content which means you will need medical knowledge to understand what doctors are saying.
